Our first day waking up in Europe and we slept in until 9!
We had a relaxed morning, cooked (heated from frozen) up some buns for breakfast – butter and cranberry for DJ, cheese and marmite for Jade – sorted out the computer and photo back ups, checked out trains and options for getting to Bergen on Sunday.
We walked in the rain for kebab for lunch.
Definitely weren’t very prepared for rain and got very wet, so we decided to sort buses for the rest of the day!
First stop: the art shop. And so many things to look at!
Came out 2 hours later with a set of nice drawing pencils and a sketch book for Jade + a note book and pen for DJ.
Met Ian and headed to a café to dry off and wait for the rain to stop.. No fun to visit islands or walk around the statue park while wet!
Got hungry after 6pm and headed toward home via the super market.
Few different things there including
- Automatic recycling refund machine for bottles
- Self service bread slicing machine
- Veg stored in vertical fridges
- A freezer full of shrimp
- Cheap mozzarella cheese
- A gate to exit the self service checkout that needed the receipt to open
Ian made yummy pizza for dinner (we’d heard he is a legend at pizza making and weren’t disappointed) and booked the train to Bergen and flight to Berlin.
Off to the cabin tomorrow for more adventures!
